This all-in-one system enables households, schools, businesses, and manufacturing facilities to make a meaningful environmental impact by diverting a wide range of materials from landfills.
The Zero Waste Box program offers remarkable versatility, accepting diverse items from coffee capsules and snack wrappers to office supplies, e-waste, beauty product containers, and even personal protective equipment. What distinguishes TerraCycle’s approach is its commitment to processing these complex waste streams. Materials are separated by type—plastics are melted into pellets, metals are smelted into ingots, glass is crushed and melted, fabrics are sorted and repurposed, and electronics are dismantled for component recycling.
Through this innovative system, TerraCycle is helping to shift waste management from a linear disposal model to a circular approach that maximises resource value while minimising environmental harm.

As the Argentine member of the Friends of the Earth International federation, Tierra Native brings 30 years of experience to its work, connecting local environmental struggles with a global network spanning 73 countries across five continents.
Tierra Nativa’s approach is characterised by its commitment to collective and interdisciplinary methods. The organisation actively builds networks to foster a more organised and just community, emphasising internationalist solidarity and regional integration within Latin America and the Caribbean. Their work reflects a dedication to popular environmentalism from feminist and social just perspectives, championing peoples’ sovereignty and anti-colonial struggles.
In recent years, Tierra Nativa has taken a leading role in mapping lithium projects operating in Argentina, revealing the striking foreign control that characterises this sector. Their georeferenced mapping has become a key tool for understanding new forms of economic and environmental colonialism in the region, while also helping to conceptualise strategies for a just energy transition.
Tierra Nativa has also been actively engaging with waste workers following Argentina’s 201 economic crisis. As informal recycling emerged among popular sectors in response to increasing material waste from idle and upper-class consumption, Tierra Nativ has supported these worked in advocating for reduced consumption, promoting recycling, and improving their precarious working conditions.
